Episode 4 Voting description

I suspect that it's more the Emily/Faith dynamic that people are wanting to see play out, but beyond that, I'm not sure.

It would be interesting if folks could share their thoughts on this? What motivated you all to vote the way that you did?

It could be that the choice that releases quickest is the one picked. Options 1 & 3 are scheduled for release one month before option 2. Last time the option that released in two months was picked. I voted for option two so that Wednesday would be finished.

We can't move to season two without her, so eventually the voting options will be:

Opt 1: Natalie
Opt 2: Natalie
Opt 3: Natalie

I picked Natalie because her story is the most interesting to me in the sense that I don't know what's going to happen. With Emily I don't really anticipate any major surprises. Brad might screw things up and Faith will be a source of tension, but I expect the whole thing to proceed along relatively predicatable lines. With Natalie I don't have that sense, so I'm more interested.

That said, If I was going purely by the ingame description of each option that choice might have been more difficult because Natalie is barely mentioned. Brad just goes on a date with her, and then it's all about Emily.

Conversely, if people are going by the descriptions at the start of this thread then I think the Emily option is 'sold' better (in the sense that the word 'erotic' appears five times, rather than two for Natalie).

A more general problem is that all three options have fairly similar levels of support, which means that around 60% of voters are going to be disappointed by the result.

That is why I propose we only provide two options for future polls. That way we would only disappoint at most 49.9...% of the voters.

Valid points, and certainly something to consider for the next vote.

Primarily I've been looking at it from the point of giving more diversity of the options, but having a majority of voters feeling disappointed probably is worse than less voting diversity.

I was on Shark's Lagoon for the first time in ages and I noticed a bit of support for my preferred option, ie. not having regular votes at all. You could certainly have votes on big issues, such as which character inclusion to add. But not regular votes to decide which bit of the story to tell next.

I don't think anyone would blame you for telling your own story the way you wanted to tell it, and as long as you have votes on any big changes people would still feel involved.

It's weird. Both here and at Shark's Lagoon, most of the support seems to be for Natalie and/or Jasmine. I guess the silent majority really like Emily for some reason.

Details will be published once the poll is closed and the votes get recounted. Overall, as it currently stands, there are over three thousand valid votes cast.

Overall 3891 valid* votes were cast, the final results are as follows:

1. Emily option: 1517 votes (39.0%)
2. Natalie option: 995 votes (25.6%)
3. Jasmine option: 1379 votes (35.4%)

*391 individuals tried to vote multiple times, as a result, 932 votes were invalidated.

Once again the option with the least amount of time before release won. The Jasmine inclusion, that would release slightly later, also did well.

The option that was going to take an extra month to release did poorly (despite me trying to vote for it 600 times)

The diner date that will complete Wednesday will have to wait until next year.

There is a very small gap between options ....
but please in the next round exclude Emily (as the US president maximum two terms)
