Patreon problems

Patreon refunded to me every dollar I ever pledged, going back two years. If the creator is still active (most are) then the money came from the creator's account. In a few cases Patreon refunded the money out of their own pocket. Except for the $30 pledge that I didn't make (but was charged for). I'll be able to make it right in some cases (here, for instance). In others, not so much. Approach Patreon with caution and try to keep it separate from the rest of your cyber life as much as possible.

Did they ever give you any explanation?

No explanation. The only reason I know that they took the money from the creators is that I asked some of them directly.

That's like one of the weirdest stories I ever heard about patreon. It's highly unfair to take pledged money from artists. Some artists rely on that money.
