Devs are getting lazy because disk space is relatively cheap
The reason I convert to compressed JPG is bandwidth. On one side are those players that might have metered bandwidth, or hidden meters where ISP's throttle back speed.
Bingo!. I have lots of storage. The problem is looooong download times. I realize there are ways to mitigate that but I am pretty set in my ways. ;)

We have high bandwidth cable in my town. Not cheap, but 1.5GB takes about 10 mins, less if i do it when everyone else is asleep.

On the other side is bandwidth from my side to provide the bits in the first place. 200,000 downloads at 150MB vs. 200,000 downloads at 1.5GB is a huge difference for hosting costs.
Good call. I get a bit blase sometimes, as I have a big pipe for downloading movies and streaming catch-up TV: most large towns and cities in the UK have Broadband (20Mbit/s plus).

The artwork is amazing.
Yes it is. :)
Seconded, an interesting mix of 2D gameplay and some good renders for the interaction scenes, like MuseX's Farmer's Dreams and MalleckM's Road Trip.
However, it just bombed out on me for no apparent reason. It was late and i should have been in bed hours previously, so i didn't investigate further.

I can imagine that it makes a difference in hosting costs, Wolfschadowe. That's a pretty hefty amount of bandwidth. And I agree with Hannibal, the artwork is top notch!

While we all wait for Episode 8, thought I'd share a game I recently found called 'Lucretia's Legacy': https://www.patreon.com/Amaraine

It is not at the same level as BEW but is has a good variety of girls to seduce and some pretty too.
There's other games from the same creator too but I didn't think much of them. Feel free to try though.

Alright, as I was looking around, I found this one which impressed me a lot, called 'Lancaster Boarding House' (https://www.patreon.com/StrandedWithBenefits/).
It has story branching, which makes it interesting to play, and very good looking art and girls too. I highly recommend giving it a look.

Ah yes, fair enough, I thought I did 4 months ago but may have missed it, or maybe it wasn't as advanced then and they only had their other games.
Either way, it deserved a refreshed shout out don't you think?!

This is the best new erotic game I have seen in awhile.

Acting Lessons : https://www.patreon.com/DrPinkCake

The renders are quite good but the main selling point is that the developer shows a real talent for writing. Of course it's too early to tell since it's just his first game, but Tlaero may finally have a real challenger for best writer in the genre.

I agree that Acting Lessons is shaping up to be a fine game with an engaging story. He will have to go some to match Tlaero but I may be biased in that. :D

Nevertheless, I am a patron.

I found another start-up that looks promising. Seraphim Academy by Trinity Games. https://www.patreon.com/TrinityGames/overview

These guys are literally JUST getting started. Their first chapter, which is really just an expanded introduction, just came out. They have a total of 4 patrons! The project is more of a virtual novel with a little bit of player input but the story looks interesting and the artwork is quite good for a start-up. The first chapter download is free and it plays quickly so taking a look does not involve a lot of time investment. I am looking forward to the next installment to see where the story goes. I also felt it was worth it to throw a few dollars their way to encourage a new developer who looks to be interested in quality over a quick buck.

Some of you guys might want to give them a try.

Recommending this one too. Also has best supporting male character, which is kinda weird for this kind of game (go go Liam), but that just shows good writing.

For high reactivity, I would recommend "Good Girl Gone Bad':

It's almost ridiculous, how many different paths you can get with this story.

At the risk of distracting Wolf & team, two others to look at now are:

Time Loop Hunter,https://www.patreon.com/HydraHenker/

And

High Rise Climb, https://www.patreon.com/smokeydots

Both have a bit of a grind, but are also clever in ways and have gone beyond the usual stereotypical characters and situations.

I strongly second the recommendation of Good Girl Gone Bad: I love this game! Primarily because almost each choice leads to a different path. It is not as complex as BEW (but what game could compare to BEW, really?), and the consequences are not as well... hem... "thought through", but it is nonetheless one hell of a game in my opinion, very high replayability. And I'll give a try to Acting Lessons, thanks for the tip you all.

I didn't take to Good Girl Gone Bad, but i haven't given up on it. It will probably take a while to tune into the female protagonist thought processes before i can make sense of it.

High Rise Climb is very good, though: i played it for several hours straight last night. The grind is not that annoying.
