- Don't be a jerk.
- If you think someone is being a jerk, report them.
- It's ok to tell what you don't like about the game. Just don't be a jerk about it.
- Don't be a jerk by spoiling the game for others. If you are asking about something that might be a spoiler, use the spoiler tags. If you don't know how...ASK.
- Give a hint about what is in your spoiler tag so people can decide if they want to open it or not. Yes, it might take some thought to do that without spoiling the game with the spoiler hint. Don't be a lazy jerk about it.
- Give hints, not answers to questions on how to do things in the game. If you feel that direct game answers are needed, use PM's and not the forum. Spoiling the game story is considered being a jerk. See rule #1
- When giving hints, don't be a rule-breaking jerk. Keep the following rules in mind:
- Only gentle nudges are allowed in the standard discussion forums. More specific hints require access to the Patron Only area.
- Light hints and direction are permitted in the Coffee & Beer Forum.
- Strong Hints are allowed in the Lunch & Dinner forum.
- Major Spoilers and full answers are allowed in the AWESOME! & INSANE! Forum.
- Don't be a jerk by opening spoiler tags and then complain about the information included. If you didn't want to know, you shouldn't have opened the spoiler tag.
- Be polite to each other, respect each others opinions and don't be afraid of a constructive debate. (i.e. don't be a jerk)
- Understand that not everyone speaks English natively, and even those that do don't get their grammar and spelling correct all the time. Don't be a jerk by correcting them.
- Don't spam the forum. Spamming is considered a jerky behavior.
- Trolls and jerks will be mod-hammered.
- Repeated trolls and jerks will be placed on probation have all their posts moderated. Additionally, their username will be hot pink!
- Wolfschadowe will happily ban jerks, trolls, and spammers, and also eliminate all trace of them from existence on the forum.
- More rules to follow, as necessary. Don't be a jerk and make it necessary.
- Violations of the rules will be handled as follows: First, there will be a public warning to all participants on a thread that is approaching the "jerk" threshold.
- A second violation will incur the following:
- 1 (one) direct warning paired with a 48 hour ban. The purpose of the ban is simply to allow time for tempers to hopefully cool.
- Your posts will be moderated for a one month probationary period.
- your username will be hot pink, to identify you as a violator. This will affect ALL PAST MESSAGES as well. Upon exit of the probationary period, your username will return to it's standard color.
- A third violation will be followed by a permanent ban based on username, email, and IP address. (Note, first time spammers are perma-banned immediately There is no warning or probationary period for Spamming)
Note: Any patron that is permanently banned will have their last funding refunded and will be kicked as a patron from the Patreon site as well. I am not in this for money. A vast majority of that money is put back into the game to help make it better, so I do appreciate the donations and pledges greatly although being a Patreon will not gain any leniency at all
