Re: Which idea appeals to you more?
The market is becoming super-saturated with games, many of them using the same formula. There are thousands of games and only a small number of good ones. If were going to develop a game I would want to make it the best one I've ever played. That would take some effort since I've played some games ...

Re: Which idea appeals to you more?
I think I'm going to start with Western since that's the only one I truly have outlined completely out. The Xuanhuan will probably be second since it has the most content mapped out in my head. Unfortunately, I only have a vague idea of where I want to take it after the second arc. I'd like to avoid...

Re: Which idea appeals to you more?
Of the 4 ideas I'd lean towards the historical western. But the 1830's were very early in westward expansion. So keep that in mind. I mean New York City has corruption in any decade you pick so you're not limited. There are a couple of elements that I would like to include in this particular story ...

Which idea appeals to you more?
I've been thinking about writing again. I've a couple different ideas floating in my head and I'm curious which idea others might find more appealing to read. Historical Western - The journey of a young man who tries to save his sister from New York corruption in the 1830s. Superhero - After partici...

Re: Episode 8 Status (2018-07-08)
It's always good to see traffic on the forum: it shows that people are still interested in the game despite the current hiatus. Yeah, traffic is good, but I'd rather not be the kid in the backseat screaming "Are we there yet?" Love the game, but I'll just keep checking from time to time h...

Re: Re-Spun Patreon Games
Biggest problem I have with some of the "Patreon"izing of some of these games is the whole "Stop. We shouldn't be doing this because you're my roommate." Really. If you're going to pull the incest, rework the dialogues so they make sense vs doing a find and replace.

Re: Game update pet peeve
I can think of a couple ways(uploading a bad/older version/forgetting to save a bug fix/not checking sub-optimum routes/failure to properly initialize variables), but you are right game breakers should be caught in the QA testing phase prior to release.

Game update pet peeve
I realize most of the games currently available are WIPs. It's one of the reasons I'll only download every third or so update. However, I'm starting to get annoyed with some game devs. You download a 2-4 gig file, only for there to be a game breaking scripting error. Yay, it's fixed right away, but ...

Forgotten Gems
I was recently searching with Firefox when I noticed the slightly weird previously searched "Regless Beermine". Curious as to the meaning, I checked it and came across the blog for the RPG Maker game Bonehead. I remembered it was one of the few quality RPG Maker games that I've played. He'...

Re: Things are a changing!
I'm not sure it's just games though. In my parents' time, they thought nothing about sending kids outside to play. Between legal and safety considerations, leaving young kids unsupervised now is considered a recipe for disaster.

Re: Episode 8 Status (2018-07-08)
...I was only trying to ask a question not related to when the next episode is coming out. It seems like that is the only question ever asked here, personal life and real world responsibilities be damned... To be fair though, this is the BEW game forum; specifically, this is the Ep. 8 Status thread...

Of course. I wanted to make sure people had the right Daryl. I think she's still attractive.

Re: What the??? Moments
For those who don't know what a "step-wife" is -- she is the woman who is married to your ex-husband. With that in mind, one can clearly see that the story totally changes... :sarcasm: Not sure how but after reading this I'm suddenly reminded of Newhart. Guy walks in flanked by two blonde...

What the??? Moments
I think most people on this board will agree that BEW is a high quality game. But let's face it, the vast majority of the games to found on-line are ho-hum at best, to literally unplayable at worst. Over the holidays, I was trying out a rather lack-luster family corruption type game. Sorry don't rem...
