Bugtracker Signup Fixed
The signup for the bugtracker has been fixed. Those of you who tried to create a bugtracker account but couldn't get past the bugged captcha should now be able to create an account so that you can track issues and status.
Please let me know if you encounter any more problems with the bugtracker.

I've still got my view pointed at 'BEW Testing', and nothing seems to have happened for ages. Should i be using a different view?

If you use BEW Testing view, you will only see Dev/Test items. If you use BEW Support, you will see both BEW Public AND BEW Dev/Test.
Most of the action currently is for public issues.

Thanks,
I'll get the hang of this eventually.

Re: Bugtracker Signup Fixed
The game has obviously reached some sort of threshold: someone has started spamming the bugtracker .
As if we'd even need Viagra/Cialis or antidepressants playing this game .

Yeah, I noticed the same thing, quite annoying. Isn't there a way to get rid of these very informative messages? Maybe not accepting bug reports by unregistered "guests"?

I've thought about it. It's a trade off though, as it might mean fewer bug reports. I try to delete the spam messages when I see them. If it get's too bad, I'll lock it down.Valerielychee wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 9:52 pmMaybe not accepting bug reports by unregistered "guests"?

I check the bugtracker most days. I'm happy to delete any obvious spam if it helps, unless some people are looking for a loan or want a cheap watch?Wolfschadowe wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:09 pmI've thought about it. Re: Bugtracker Signup Fixed
I'm guessing that it is some sort of bot (maybe more than one), rather than an active spammer. There do not appear to be any direct spamming posts, and the spam is only tagged onto the post with the latest activity marker. Once a new report comes in, the spamming of previous reports stops. If that is the case, then stopping guest logons is not the answer. I will post a dummy bug report to see if that diverts the spam to the new report.
If my guess is correct, we just need to switch off the ability for unregistered guests to add notes to a report. That means that genuine reporters that want to remain anonymous would have to raise another report to add comments on their previous reports, but that is a minor inconvenience that should not put people off reporting bugs.

Re: Bugtracker Signup Fixed
Just FYI, the spamming continues, indeed seemingly on the last post: I reported a bug 3 days ago, and 24 hours later (almost to the minute), 13 useful commentaries were posted within an hour and a half, all about Cialis (I don't even know what that is...). Tao Dude, I think your solution is a good idea: effective without impairing real bug reports by unregistered guests

I have (hopefully) Locked down the bug-tracker now so that registration is required to post.
Re: Bugtracker Signup Fixed
Looks OK so far. The four reports with maximum spam have been quiet for the past 24 hours or so.
I have set the status of the case that I raised for this to Resolved.

try uninstalling the game and then re installing it again there may be something missing. Did the demo version of the game work?
