TABLET USERS

Post by Geralt92 » Sat Dec 10, 2016 1:03 am

I have played the previous episode's on my android tablet via other websites like playforceone, but I can't seem to get ep 6 anywhere. I have tried downloading the game several times, but it just won't work for android. So my question is how would one play ep6 on a android tablet? Eg like in a browser online Or is there no way possible?

There are two options for playing on an Android tablet:

The easiest way for android is to find it on a website. Playforceone is a bit slow on publishing the updates, so they may be behind and episode or two, I'm not entirely sure. You could also become a patron via https://www.patreon.com/wolfschadowe to get access to the Ad-free server here on this site.

The more difficult way is to download the Zip file to your android device. Then you will need to use a file manager type app to browse to the zip file and unzip it. Depending on the file manager, It may have an included unzip capability. Once that finishes, you then use the file manager app to find start.htm and open it. Most file manager apps have an HTML browser, and that should work ok. If not, you should be able to tell the app to use "chrome" or "internet" instead. It's a bit technical, as the android devices don't make it easy, but it's doable with a bit of trial and error. The good news is once you do it once, it's actually fairly easy to do it a second time when a new episode is released.

I hope that helps. If you have trouble getting it going on android, let me know. and when I get time I'll go through the process again on my tablet and actually write down the steps. :) It will likely be a few days or more before I could get to that though. If someone else has a step-by-step handy for playing the download version on android, please share it.

Thank you Wolfschadowe for responding.

So I have precisely what you have said in option 2 before and lately. I unzipped the file, opened it and tapped start then opened with chrome and all I does is take me to android providers downloads which is a blank white screen. I have tried with 7zip on my tablet but it only allow me to open with HTML viewer which I only get a black background with3 solid white girls (I think) like 007 kind of and the screen does not interact.

I will continue to try via other file manager, but a step by step would be fantastic and is something I would wait for.

Could also have to do with Javascript. Many mobile browsers have incomplete or optional support. Make sure javascript is enabled in your browser of choice, or try a different one.

I am using chrome and JavaScript is enabled, so that seems OK.

So I have tried several file manager on my tablet and non of the give me the option to open Start.htm in chrome and will only allow HTML viewer where I get a black background and 3 all white women that pulse a bit.

The only file manager that let's me open in chrome is my stock one and once opened it send my to android.providers.download... Where there is a blank white screen. So I am pretty much going round in loops. (Man I suck at computer's, I don't have a clue at what I'm doing  ).

When the game opens in the file manager HTML Browser, you should be able to copy the path to the clipboard using the standard Android Copy/paste functionality, you should be able to open any Android browser and paste that path into the URL box to open the game. That might work. At that point you could bookmark the game. Just an idea to toss out until I have more time to look into the process on my tablet.

I have done as you suggested Wolfschadowe and I have had I little bit of success.

I can now get the file to chrome and it show BEW in the tab writing and the 3 all white girls and now i have some sort of coding (idk :? ) that starts with initialising... and ultimately comes down to (in red writing) X Error loading file: Files/_game.js

I don't have a clue, all I know is that .js means JavaScript so I'm lost here :| . However I really appreciate your help and any info needed I will provide.

First thing to check is to confirm that you have fully extracted the Zip file, and that you haven't browsed the zip file with a file manager that supports it.

I have confirmed on both my phone and my tablet that the game works using the following method:

1. Download the game from http://bew.rocks/vault
2. Using the built in Samsung file manager App (Some phones may need an app from the Play Store) browse to the downloaded zip file and double tap to extract it. (Method may vary to unzip)
3. Once Unzipped, if prompted for a browser, choose, in order of preference: Firefox, Chrome, Internet, HTML Viewer)
Note: If you aren't prompted, and one opens automagically, then copy the URL, and then paste it into your preferred browser, or clear the association in Android settings to get the prompt.
4. Play the game. :) On some of the browsers it seemed to hang, but after I pushed "back" on the device to return to file viewer, and then tapped Start.htm again, it ran normally for me. Preferred format on the Tablet is Portrait, not Landscape. The bottom text will automatically detect orientation and stack vertically.

On my tablet (which is older than my phone) the default internet browser did not accept touch input as expected. Chrome and Firefox operated as expected. The expectation is to tap once on an area of an image to see what, if any, hotspots are there, and see the related text. Touch twice to follow the link, or touch another area of the image to see other hotspots.

I tried it myself and got similar problems as Geralt92. I tried several file manager and browser.

The only file manager that worked for me was the ES File Explorer. It has a build in extract function. Long touch on the zip file and then chose 'more' and 'extract to'. I have Firefox and Chrome installed and both worked. But ES only let me chose Firefox and some other options to open start.htm. But copy the URL from Firefox, past it to Chrome and bookmark it worked.

AAAAAHHH! IT'S ALIVE :D

OK I'd pretty much did what I did yesterday (Download file, extract file, open start.htm in chrome), but today I did it with ES file manager and it allow me to open with Firefox and that took me to an access denied page, so I copy the URL and pasted it in chrome and Bob's your uncle. FINALLY!

Thank you Wolfschadowe for helping me get here, I would not of got close without it. And thank you Stirni72 for saying ES file manager. (And palinathas for replying :? :| :) :D ) .
