Saved Games and multiple path choices

Post by lsag_04 » Mon Feb 22, 2016 6:05 pm

Hi, apologies if this is on the wrong(?) board within this Forum, and if it is then please place it on the correct Board.

This is my first posting on this board so first off, let me say that this is an amazing game, full of twists and turns, in as much as is possible with regards to getting a high score or even a maximum score, and what that is I've no idea, to allow you to progress deeper/further into the game.
The story-line and graphics are superb, compared to a lot of games I've seen online as there are some where the girls look great but they also look like they've been dipped in oil.. way too much sheen [and "gloss"] on them along with irritating music being pumped out over the top, as well as just being "point and click".. too dull, too tedious, as you know what the outcome will be anyway!
This game, however, is great. Good modelling/lighting and a good script with multiple options and choices thereby creating a quandary within the game itself and as such my question is this.
[Although sound, at certain points with-in the game could improve it, or is that asking too much, or isn't that possible within the confines of this type of game?]

I'm asking because I was wondering if it's worth having multiple games saved so you can return to a particular point in the game, to enable you to go on a different path, from a particular point where there's a possible "branch", and thereby allowing you to pursue(!) if that's the correct word to use, anyone of the possible "conquests", going by the on-screen scoring at the top of the page and thereby saving you from either re-starting the game, if you've gone too far, or reloading from a set point, prior to making an in-game gaffe, because you've lost points with a particular "partner" and you find you've got to start over from the beginning.

Example Saved Game: Go into the office and talk to the intern, Jasmine, and get her points raised to a nice level, and then Emily's as well and then save at a set point and choose an "option/path" with Emily and then find out that the choice you made was not the best one to increase the score as the game saved prior to this choice meant that I'd have to restart either from the beginning or from the previous day in the bar, because the score wasn't high enough, or when you know the score/path choice isn't going well, or could've been improved.

Reload this saved game point and then pursue a different choice in the office, or elsewhere within the game, thereby having multiple branches at the same saved game point to allow you to follow the different path choices.

So, end result is.. can we have "multiple saved games" ..... "pretty" please? ;)

Hope I made myself clear... lol and keep up the good work [and I'm thinking of being a "patron" and supporting the game too]

Looking forward to seeing the next part of the game being released soon

It could also ruin it. Adding sound to pages is really easy. Adding the right sound to pages is very hard. I don't think I've heard good sound in a game like this. Maybe an occasional looped pornstar moan or something, but that doesn't really fit with the style of this game. I decided against adding sound just because I felt that the time and effort involved to get good sound, that doesn't break the immersion and come across as a crappy tack-on would be too hard and take too long. Even with the best effort the sound would be hit or miss. I say, no sound is better than bad sound, and I think any sound I added would end up as "bad sound."

Sure thing. Let me wave my magic wand real quick (wave, wave, wave) and there are save games. Just click on "Menu" at the top of the screen, select "Save", then "[Create a new save]", label your savegame, press enter. To load it, go to Menu->Load Game and select the one you want to load.

(Note, it's already possible to have multiple save-games, no magic was involved. I just like waving my wand around.)

Thanks for the quick reply Wolfschadowe. I just saw the saved game options as I was playing the game just now and I don't know how I missed it yesterday! Who's a silly boy..? Moi! lol

Thinking about it, just now, and I agree with you, looping a pornstar sound.. would sound tacky and wouldn't fit in with the game.. keep it all in the head as it were as there's nothing like feeding the imagination too!

Go easy with your wand.. it could do some damage.. lol. Just replaying the office (day two...!) and saved the game prior to Emily "coming" [ooh err, fnarr, fnarr... ;) ;) ] into the office

Now all I can think about is which video game voice actor would be good in which role.
