What's the latest?
How's it going Wolfshadowe? I hope all is well and that there is some news on the game. Take care

Re: What's the latest?
Here's an idea: Read The Episode 8 Status thread.
Re: What's the latest?
Not really a lot of help there. It said more info in a couple of weeks but was posted over a month ago. Op's question seems valid to me.

Re: What's the latest?
Didn't express or imply the validity of the question so much as that there is already a discussion on the subject. I'm not convinced that multiple discussions on the status of the game are any more helpful than one discussion on the status of the game.
Re: What's the latest?
So I can fix that.infiniteignorance wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 6:01 am... there is already a discussion on the subject. ...

Sorry, perhaps I should wait longer before I ask again since the first time I've read the thread. No criticism intended, I'm more or less just checking in, and if I'm being a bother for doing so, then again I'm sorry.

No bother at all and no need for any apology. I just merged your post into the existing thread to avoid duplicates.OpineegChipp wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 6:47 am... if I'm being a bother for doing so, then again I'm sorry.

It's always good to see traffic on the forum: it shows that people are still interested in the game despite the current hiatus.JFR wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 7:27 amNo bother at all and no need for any apology.OpineegChipp wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 6:47 am... if I'm being a bother for doing so, then again I'm sorry.

Yeah, traffic is good, but I'd rather not be the kid in the backseat screaming "Are we there yet?" Love the game, but I'll just keep checking from time to time hoping for some more news.

That's where I am. I don't know Wolfschadowe personally but if it were me I would not be motivated by being perpetually poked with sharp sticks. I'd like to get in Faith's pants as much as the next guy, well, OK, before the next guy since sloppy seconds aren't my thing, but these things take time.Shadowofmyself wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 11:40 amYeah, traffic is good, but I'd rather not be the kid in the backseat screaming "Are we there yet?" Yes, it's a difficult call: how do we strike a balance between leaving Wolf alone and him ending up thinking everyone has lost interest and putting too high a burden of expectations on him to deliver.infiniteignorance wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 12:05 pmThat's where I am. All of the solo/small team devs I support on Patreon seem to suffer from periods of burn out because they feel that they have to keep delivering, and most of them are like Wolf in that they don't want to push out low-quality cr@p just to meet deadlines.

And I agree with them. Take all the time necessary to be motivated to have the same level of effort and enthusiasm for development at the end of a game that you had at the beginning, otherwise you're doing yourself a disservice. There are hundreds of "developers" putting out garbage games just to put something out. I'd rather good game creators like Wolfschadowe not fall into that category.Tao Dude wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 3:59 pmYes, it's a difficult call: how do we strike a balance between leaving Wolf alone and him ending up thinking everyone has lost interest and putting too high a burden of expectations on him to deliver.

I will turn this game around and start over!
Thanks for understanding! I want it to be as fun for me to create the game as it is for everyone to play it.
I absolutely don't want to fall into this category. At the same time, I don't want to fall into the category of those who start off something huge and ambitious with great promise and never complete it. I'm still planning a bigger update post to let you all know more about what's going on. I just haven't figured out how to say what I want to say yet. Don't worry, that's not doom foreshadowing. Work WILL continue on BEW. Soonish.infiniteignorance wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 4:35 pmThere are hundreds of "developers" putting out garbage games just to put something out.
