Absolutely. The download has always been my favorite way to play. If you have been playing somewhere on-line, be sure to "Export" both your Saves and Achievements first. The Export function is on the Main Menu/Options page. It will save those files wherever your browser is set to download files. In most case, that will be to your "Download" page.

The download from here is relatively small and fast. After downloading, just put the file in a folder of your choice - I have one in my Games folder that I named BEW. Unzip the file to un-compress all the files and play from the "Start" icon. Once you have the game working, use the Options/Import function to reload all of your saves and achievements into the game.

In Windows 10, the "unzip" function is found in the Right-Click context menu. Just right-click on the archive file and select "Extract All." Other operating systems will have their own way to do this.
