Sex (even virtual game sex) is both political and religious and there's no way of getting around that.

Dunno about religious, but sometimes it's spiritual.

I'm steering clear of politics, tho': it's becoming increasingly polarised both sides of the pond and most people seem to be losing their sense of humour when their views are lampooned, but are more than ready to have a pop at the opposition.

There was a time you could discuss politics in a friendly way and there was a whole spectrum of views that made the debate interesting, but Trump and Brexit have destroyed all that to the verge of civil war.

To be clear I am not trying to start a war of ideologies here. I was only trying to ask a question not related to when the next episode is coming out. It seems like that is the only question ever asked here, personal life and real world responsibilities be damned. I don't think it hurts once in a while to act like we care about people for more than what they can do for us. It's unfortunate some people have to fake that and others can't even fake it.

To be fair though, this is the BEW game forum; specifically, this is the Ep. 8 Status thread where someone would check to find out about the latest status of this game.

Hope you're doing better Wolfschadowe. I'll be waiting patiently listening to George Micheal's Gotta have Faith until the next episode is ready.

The most recent news is that - there is no news.

Wolfschadowe recently confirmed that, due to some very serious problems in his "real life," Brad's Erotic Week is on hold as far as the next episode is concerned. We are hoping that this delay is temporary and that work will begin again after he is able to get his life stabilized once again. As of this date there is no official planned date of release for a next episode.

The best advice I can give is to check back here occasionally for any further announcements.

Good advice from JFR. I'd say keep an eye here and look elsewhere too as it may be a while.

As long as it is work and not well-spent free time for you, you surely need your time off.

I'll second that sentiment. Take the time you need. If you've been through a bad patch then get yourself in a better place before stating again. If not it won't be good for you or your efforts. Coming back too soon could taint your works and that would be a shame. Don't get me wrong I look forward to your new release, but I'd rather wait for it until it's right then to get it earlier and know it wasn't up to your standard of excellence!

I'll chip in as well to also say you can and should take the time you need. BEW is great but should never be a priority if it doesn't feel fun to make.

Coming back too soon could taint your works and that would be a shame.

This is why I'm nor forcing myself to do a lot of work on the game. The creative juices aren't flowing quite yet. It's also why I patreon by episode and not by month, so I don't force myself to work when the juices aren't there and end up putting out re-treaded crap. There's some creative seepage around the edges, but no flow quite yet. I've been tinkering a bit here and there lately though.

I am doing well at this time, and things have somewhat smoothed out on my end. The ground is firming up for me although there's still a few shaky bits here and there. If there's too much more of a delay, blame Egosoft.
