Requiem in Pax OCB ...

Hallo BEW-Freunde,
leider muss ich Euch mitteilen, dass mein Vater OldCuteBoy am 22.09.2016 um 18:19 Uhr diese Welt verlassen hat.
Er starb im Alter von 52 Jahren, nach mehrfachen Aufenthalten im Krankenhaus an Herzversagen.
Er hinterlässt 2 eigene Kinder, eine Lebensgefährtin mit 2 Kindern, sowie eine Handvoll wahrer Freunde, die ihn bis zum Schluss begleitet haben.

Er starb, wie er gelebt hat: ruhig und friedlich, und verbat sich Tränen oder Verzweiflung an seinem Grab.
Am 30.09. wurde er von uns in seiner Heimatstadt Aachen mit seinem Lieblingslied "Many Rivers to Cross" von Joe Cocker, beigesetzt.

Ich habe Wolfschadow gebeten, seinen Account noch nicht direkt zu löschen, um eventuelle Rückfragen etc. noch beantworten zu können.
Leider konnte mein Vater die jüngste Arbeit für BEW nicht mehr beenden, er war mitten in der Übersetzung der letzten veröffentlichten Version von BEW, als er letztmalig ins Krankenhaus eingeliefert wurde.
Da ich aber über keinerlei Programmierkenntnisse verfüge, sehe ich mich leider nicht in der Lage, seine Arbeit für BEW fortzuführen.

Mit ihm geht mein bester Freund, Vater, Ratgeber, er wird in meinem und im Leben meiner Kinder sehr fehlen.

Hallo friends of BEW,
sadly I have to tell you, that my father, OldCuteBoy left this world on Sept. 22nd at 6:19 pm.
He died in the age of 52 years after different times spent in the hospital this year by heart failure.
He left us how he lived: quietly and peaceful, and he didn't want any tears or desperation.

We burried him at Sept. 30th with his most loveed song from Joe Cocker: Many rivers to cross ...

With him goes my best friend, father and mentor, I will miss him in future all the rest of my life.

OCB had many friends throughout the world through this community and contributed to it greatly. We will miss him too.

My heart goes to you and your family during this difficult time. OCB was a valued member of the team, always ready to help others, to share his experience and knowledge, and to make us laugh with his wit. OCB translated well over 80,000 words of text to German for our game and found more bugs in the game then I would care to admit. He made friends here from around the world and we will all miss him greatly.

I've moved this topic from the language forums to become an announcement in the general forum so that more will see it.

OCB's messages will live on here, and his account will never be deleted from the forum. "Requiem in Pax" will now appear in memorial under his avatar image.

.....als ich anfing in diesem Forum zu lesen, habe ich am Rande mitbekommen, dass es jemanden gibt, der eine deutsche Übersetzung macht.
Jetzt sehe ich, dass er nur wenige Kilometer von meinem Wohnort entfernt gelebt hat, und dass ich am 23. des letzten Monats ins gleiche Lebensjahr eingetreten bin.

Mein Vater ist ungefähr im gleichen Alter. Ich kann mir nur vorstellen, wie schwer es sein muss, sein Elternteil so früh zu verlieren...
