While it would be nice to have that status update, after every scene is probably too much and hugely immersion breaking. Maybe at the end of each day, or twice a day (once after work and once at the end of the night) would be better.

1. In the static images, should I make the characters "living" meaning that they sway slightly, breathe, blink, etc...? Or should I just leave them fully static. It doesn't really add any time to overall game development since it would be a post-process animation that overlays the pose, b...

(At least to me anyways) A completely re-do isn't such a bad idea. It's been so long that I've forgotten half of it. A re-do will require a replay and that will refresh my memory.
